Did God Just Pass me By!

Faith
Did God Just Pass me By!

Most days it’s ‘May your mercy see me! I don’t deserve but may your grace see me. However, today is for the entitled child to her Father’s inheritance and capability.

Did God just pass me by?

Am not sure if some of you get to that point. Well, I have, and I have been laughing at God’s audacity because let’s face it, what else am I supposed to do? Cry? I mean I have done that in prayer already. What’s next? He is God all by Himself. I am a creation; He is The Creator!

I have been praying to God over a certain situation in my life for a minute now. Staying in the place of faith, I have been listening to sermons and listening to the voice of God. Couple days ago, I was despondent, but still staying on the faith lane, I put on this song by Minister Dunsin feat Pastor Jerry Eze; What You cannot do does not exist. As I listened to the song, my faith was being built and all. But as Pastor Jerry Eze started giving the wonderful testimonies of what God was doing, my mind went like:

‘God still has the audacity to perform these big miracles?? He has the nerve to raise the dead back to life?? Meanwhile, my situation is not even that gravely. wow!!!!!’

Don’t get me wrong. I was laughing about the whole situation because like I said, what else am I supposed to do? He is God all by Himself. He is in a category that is uncategorized. He literally just passed me by and went and performed miracles for others while mine is pending?? I am happy for the next person. I am clapping for the next person. What my mind fails to comprehend is how He let my Lazarus die while He does nothing.

Okay, the saints in white already know that it’s for His glory, but my mind is trying to understand this, is the dramatic effects and the suspense really necessary in this film? And while I thought we were done, here comes episode 11.

Leave alone the inheritance part as a coheir with Christ, He says, no longer do I call you slaves, I call you friends. Okay, is this what friends do??? Why would You pass me by to just flaunt your abilities through my neighbor? I understand you are in the neighborhood; but I have been inviting You into my house. God was in the neighborhood at the pool of Bethesda, yet; the man had to wait 38 years till Jesus Himself came to his ‘house’! Proximity doesn’t equate to miracle. Therefore, I am pushing for, while He is in the neighborhood, my house has a problem that he can fix, and I would love for Him to enter.

The things that God does, no one understands. I thought of putting one and two together by myself but all I saw was danger and trouble. Yet, the most dubious direction; “Go to a land which I will show you”, feels my heart with tranquility. Uncertain but peaceful! Some calmness in the storm at the realization of who is in your boat.

As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than mine and His thoughts than my thoughts. Clearly, because how do I explain the instruction of ‘Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord!’ when all is seemingly failing! An old adage states that a drowning man will clutch at a straw, yet with all my intuition and nonsensical common sense, I will need to rewire my brain to the fact that; I reside at the palm of His hand. A truer fact than my reality and yours.

You may have started the year with prayer points and even God’s promises and all. One thing that I want us all do is not to let time dictate God’s abilities. And He doesn’t go by our timetable. I know we’ve heard that before but, were our hearts convinced? There are times I put God’s promises and my prophesy journal in front of me and am like, ‘till when God?!’ But just as I was losing faith over what He said, He sent someone who told me to stop looking at the time. In the person’s words, “Because when you look at the time right now, you will be like it’s only one month remaining till 2023!” but even December 31st at 11:59 is still 2022.

You know writing and doing is not the same as doing. Coaching football off the field may prove your knowledge and wisdom but, that doesn’t bring the world cup home. As my good sister mentioned in one of the live, once we get into the field, we will need resilience and the Word of God. Whatever doubt or mere thought that comes through the mind has to be fact-checked by the truth of the Word of God.

In this field, am in the school of faith and the hardest chapter has been patience. What is your hardest chapter in the school of faith? You may have gone through the curriculum or you are in the heat of the curriculum, either way, I’d love to know in the comments or email.

As I finish, a prayer I remember praying a couple years ago pertaining to faith was

Lord, I want to trust You more than I trust my next breathing in. You see, you didn’t even stress about if you were going to get oxygen or not. You just automatically did. The fact that it came so easy doesn’t mean it wasn’t a provision. I wish I could see the thousands of angels working so hard that my nostrils are not blocked. He says don’t worry about tomorrow. If he provides for the birds of the air, how much more worthy are you???

Lord, I want to trust you more than I trust my next breathing in!

And no; He did not pass me/you by!

The Lord will be faithful to you.

The Lord will be faithful to you.

Notice I did not say that  I will be faithful to you. Nor did I say that your husband or wife or kids or even parents. I said THE LORD will be faithful to you.

The Lord will be faithful to you.
